Andrea Pinamonti: First Lazio goal is a huge relief

Lazio forward Andrea Pinamonti marked a significant personal milestone on Sunday, scoring his first goal for the club to help secure a 3-1 victory against Monza. The result keeps the Aquile joint-top of the Serie A standings with 16 points.

Speaking after the match, the 27-year-old admitted the goal felt like a massive weight off his shoulders. Pinamonti conceded that physical struggles during a difficult summer hampered his early-season impact under head coach Gennaro Gattuso.

There is a lot in this goal. It is a huge relief for me. In the first few games, I didn't give my full contribution, I knew it. I arrived late in terms of fitness, and it has been a difficult summer for me. Andrea Pinamonti

The striker noted that he is feeling better as he gains more minutes. He also addressed his positional battle with Tijjani Noslin, dismissing any tension and describing their relationship as a healthy competition that drives the squad to improve.

Lazio has enjoyed an impressive start to the season with five wins and one draw. Pinamonti emphasized that unity within the group is the key to maintaining their current form and fighting for top honors throughout the campaign.
