Luke Humphries delivered a much-improved performance to sweep past Jermaine Wattimena with a 3-0 victory, securing his place in the World Grand Prix quarter-finals. Now considered the clear tournament favorite following Luke Littler's early exit, Humphries displayed clinical precision, hitting 74 per cent of his starting doubles and 64 per cent of his finishing doubles.

Humphries will now face Dutchman Niels Zonneveld in the last eight. Zonneveld continued his impressive run by eliminating veteran Gary Anderson 3-1. Anderson struggled significantly throughout the match, plagued by bounce-outs that hindered his scoring and finishing consistency.

James Wade also secured his quarter-final berth by defeating Stephen Bunting 3-1. Wade showcased his expertise in the tournament's unique double-start format, hitting five 160s as opening shots. He is set to face Gian Van Veen, who survived a grueling five-set thriller against Ryan Searle to progress.
