Chelsea remain interested in the potential signing of Como midfielder Lucas da Cunha, viewing him as a prospective reinforcement for their midfield department.
The London side faces stiff competition, however. Reports suggest that Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Brighton have all made contact with Como regarding the player. Clubs from Serie A are also monitoring his situation closely.
Da Cunha's development has been heavily influenced by manager Cesc Fàbregas, who transitioned the Frenchman from a winger/attacking midfielder into a more deep-lying role. The team captain has made 120 appearances for Como, contributing 20 goals and 15 assists during that period.
Any potential deal is complicated by the player's recent contract extension, which ties him to the Italian club until 2031. This significantly strengthens Como's position, as they are under no immediate pressure to sell their captain.
