Wales secure comeback victory against Norway in Nations League

Wales secured a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory against Norway in the third round of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League. Despite falling behind early, the home side demonstrated resilience to claim all three points.
Norway opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Oscar Bobb. However, Wales remained composed and leveled the scores before halftime thanks to a goal from Daniel James in the 38th minute.
The turning point of the match arrived early in the second half when Norway's Thorbjørn Heggem was shown a straight red card. Neco Williams capitalized on the resulting free-kick, finding the bottom corner to secure the lead for the hosts.
This victory provides a significant boost for Wales in their group standings, while Norway faced a challenging end to the match playing with ten men.
