The 2025/26 Women's Super League season has concluded with Manchester City crowned champions, securing their first league title in a decade. Under debut boss Andree Jeglertz, City were relentless, maintaining a 13-game winning streak that ultimately proved decisive. The attacking duo of Khadija Shaw and Vivianne Miedema proved vital, contributing nearly half of the club's total goals.
For Arsenal, it was a year defined by transition. Despite a strong run to the Champions League semi-finals, domestic injuries prevented them from mounting a sustained title challenge. Chelsea, meanwhile, faced a difficult campaign marked by an injury crisis and significant behind-the-scenes changes, though they still managed to secure the League Cup in March.
The campaign's standout performers were undoubtedly Tottenham. Manager Martin Ho revitalized a squad tipped for relegation, guiding them to a highly impressive fifth-place finish. Conversely, Leicester City endured a miserable season, culminating in a 13-game losing streak and eventual relegation after a play-off defeat to Charlton Athletic.
Newcomers London City Lionesses enjoyed a solid debut, finishing sixth, while Liverpool showed resilience in the face of significant personal and squad challenges to steer clear of the drop zone by the end of the campaign.
