Breel Embolo completes move to Atlanta United
The 29-year-old Swiss striker has left Rennes to sign a contract with MLS side Atlanta United through 2030.

Rennes and Switzerland international forward Breel Embolo has officially continued his career in MLS. The American club Atlanta United has confirmed the signing of the Swiss striker.
The parties have agreed on a four-year deal, extending the player's commitment until the summer of 2030. While financial terms remain undisclosed, media reports suggest that the French club will receive approximately 18 million dollars for the transfer.
Embolo joined Rennes in September 2025, moving from Monaco for a fee of 13 million euros. Last season, the forward made 34 appearances across all competitions, recording 10 goals and 3 assists. Prior to his time in France, he played for Basel, Schalke, and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
At the international level, Embolo continues to represent the Swiss national team, for whom he has earned 92 caps and scored 26 goals.
