Premier League Preview: Is it the most open title race in years?
With new managers at the helm and record-breaking spending from rivals, the Premier League title race looks set for a highly unpredictable season.

The Premier League is heading into a season that promises to be the most unpredictable in recent memory. The long-standing dominance of Manchester City enters a new era following the departure of Pep Guardiola, with his former assistant Enzo Maresca stepping into the role.
Major managerial shifts are the defining theme of the campaign. Five of the traditional 'big six' clubs are starting the season with different managers than they had at the start of the previous year. Chelsea has appointed Xabi Alonso, while Liverpool has brought in Andoni Iraola. Mikel Arteta remains the only constant at Arsenal, who enter as the defending champions.
However, Arsenal's path to consecutive titles faces a significant hurdle. Defender William Saliba is set for an extended spell on the sidelines due to a back injury sustained at the World Cup. His absence is a massive blow, given his critical partnership with Gabriel was the backbone of the league's best defense last season.
Elsewhere, the transfer market has been defined by massive spending from Tottenham and Chelsea. Spurs have set a club record by spending £237m this summer, bringing in players like Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, hoping to bridge the gap to the top.
While the London clubs focus on domestic dominance, Manchester United faces the added challenge of balancing European football against a heavy domestic schedule. With so many variables in play, the traditional hierarchy of the Premier League is facing its biggest test in years.
