Wolves have completed the loan signing of 22-year-old midfielder Jordan James from French side Rennes. The agreement includes an option to make the move permanent at the conclusion of the season.
James becomes the fourth summer signing for the club and the second addition since Cesar Peixoto took charge as head coach in June. Peixoto has highlighted the player's tactical versatility and experience as key reasons for the move.
Jordan is a box-to-box midfielder, with a lot of quality, and knows the Championship well which is important for us. He is a clever player, an intelligent player, and can play in two or three positions in our way of playing and structure. Cesar Peixoto
The midfielder developed through the Birmingham City academy and made his senior debut at 17. Following a move to France in 2024, James spent time on loan at Leicester last season, where he finished as the club's top scorer and earned individual accolades including the Young Player of the Season award.
James is expected to be available for his competitive debut when Wolves travel to face Preston this Saturday.
