Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has addressed his smoking habit in a candid interview with The Athletic. The 36-year-old acknowledged his nicotine addiction, admitting it is a vice he has been unable—and is unwilling—to shake off.

Despite potential criticism regarding professional standards, Szczesny chooses to remain transparent about his lifestyle. He believes this openness is exactly why fans connect with him, as he refuses to hide his reality.

Szczesny’s relaxed attitude was on full display during Barcelona's trophy parade, where he wore a hat stamped with the word "smoker," signaling he has no intention of masking his lifestyle from the public eye.
