Venezia set to appoint Davide Nicola as new head coach

Venezia have found their successor to Giovanni Stroppa, who departed the club following a difficult start to the season. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Davide Nicola has been chosen as the new manager, with terms already agreed between the parties.

The 53-year-old manager is set to sign a one-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2028. The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming hours, and Nicola is scheduled to lead his first training session on the morning of October 15.

Stroppa left the team after six league matches yielded zero points. The final blow came in a 1-3 defeat against Atalanta, leaving the club at the bottom of the Serie A table.

Nicola, whose most recent role was with Cremonese, now faces the challenge of stabilizing Venezia's form and steering the team out of its current crisis.
