Orsato admits seven refereeing errors in Serie A and Coppa Italia
Referee chief Daniele Orsato has published a list of seven officiating errors made across Serie A and the Coppa Italia this season.

Refereeing chief Daniele Orsato has officially acknowledged seven significant officiating errors in Italian football matches. The report confirms that five of these errors occurred during Serie A fixtures, while two mistakes took place in the Coppa Italia.
Among the missed calls in the league were three penalty incidents where VAR intervention was deemed necessary: Vlasic's handball in Torino v AC Milan, Dragusin's challenge on Monterisi in Fiorentina v Frosinone, and Kalulu's holding of Rowe in Juventus v Atalanta. Additionally, red cards were missed for challenges involving Caqueret in Como v Parma and Jimenez in Fiorentina v Frosinone.
The Coppa Italia errors involved a missed penalty for a shirt-pull on Pellegrino in Fiorentina v Pisa, and an incorrect overturning of a penalty decision in Torino v Monza following a VAR intervention regarding a handball by Lucchesi.
However, Orsato defended the officials in other controversial cases, including incidents in Genoa v Napoli, the collision between De Winter and Kolo Muani in Juventus v Milan, and the alleged Lobotka handball in Inter v Napoli, which were not deemed errors.
Beyond the analysis of controversial decisions, the committee highlighted statistics reflecting a new approach to officiating. Effective playing time has increased to 59'24'', an improvement of nearly six minutes from last season. Furthermore, the frequency of fouls, bookings, and sendings-off has decreased, with penalty awards in Serie A currently at the lowest level in Europe.
