Ukraine wins group at Socca Euro 2026 and reaches playoffs
The Ukrainian team finished the group stage undefeated at the European Socca Championship in Albania and is heading to the Round of 16.

The Ukrainian national socca team has successfully navigated the group stage of the European Championship 2026, currently being held in Albania. A 2:2 draw against Kazakhstan in their final Group G fixture was enough for the team to secure the top spot in the standings.
Ukraine finished the group round with 7 points from three matches, having previously recorded dominant wins against Latvia (5:0) and Portugal (3:0). In the final match against Kazakhstan, an own goal by Yeginzhanov opened the scoring, but the opponents later took the lead before Komisar equalized for Ukraine in the closing stages.
The final Group G table stands as follows: Ukraine (7 points), Kazakhstan (5), Latvia (4), and Portugal (0).
Socca is a 6-a-side football format played with five outfield players and one goalkeeper. Matches are typically contested on pitches measuring 50x30 meters, consisting of two 20-minute halves.
Looking ahead, Ukraine is scheduled to play their Round of 16 match on May 23 at 18:35 Kyiv time. Their opponent will be determined following the conclusion of the matches in Group D, with either Bulgaria or Montenegro set to face the Ukrainians.
