Manchester City secured a narrow 1:0 victory over Manchester United in the fourth round of the Premier League. The decisive goal was scored by Erling Haaland in the 60th minute of the match.
This strike marked a significant milestone for the 26-year-old Norwegian forward. According to Opta Joe, it was his ninth goal against the Red Devils, establishing him as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Manchester Derby. Remarkably, he achieved this feat in just eight appearances.
Haaland has now surpassed club legends Sergio Aguero and Wayne Rooney, both of whom scored eight goals in this fixture. The Argentine reached his tally in 13 matches, while the Englishman required 21 games.
Haaland has maintained an impressive start to the current campaign, recording six goals in six matches so far.
