Prominent journalist and commentator Riccardo Trevisani has delivered a scathing assessment of Juventus, describing their recent outings as an "appalling performance" and one of the worst he can recall.
Trevisani focused much of his criticism on the team's lack of attacking output, contrasting their current struggles with the track record of Luciano Spalletti. He emphasized that it is virtually impossible to imagine a team managed by Spalletti ranking as low as 13th in league attacking stats, as the coach has never been defined by a defensive-minded approach.
Frankly, seeing this Juve with these attacking numbers makes me think that, over these two years, with Openda, David, Kolo Muani and Woltemade, they really haven’t put him in the best position to play football. Riccardo Trevisani
The commentary suggests that the responsibility for the current form lies not just with the coaching staff, but with the club's failure to provide the necessary personnel to implement a more effective attacking system.
