Tigres edge Puebla with Brunetta goal
Tigres secured a 1-0 victory over Puebla in the 10th round of the Apertura 2026 tournament, thanks to a second-half penalty from Juan Brunetta.
In a tightly contested match during the 10th round of the Apertura 2026 tournament, Tigres claimed a narrow 1-0 victory against Puebla at the Estadio Universitario.
The first half saw very little action from either side. Tigres threatened early on with a header from Guillermo Martínez in the 14th minute, but the Puebla goalkeeper made a crucial save to keep the score level. Puebla also had an opportunity in the 34th minute, but their shot missed the target.
The deadlock was finally broken in the second half. Following a VAR review for a potential handball inside the Puebla area, the referee awarded a penalty to the hosts in the 50th minute.
