Ahead of this Sunday's major La Liga clash between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, anticipation is building for the pre-match press conferences. Managers Diego Simeone and Hansi Flick will share their final thoughts before the match that could decide the top spot in the league standings.
All eyes are on Julian Alvarez. The forward has a chance to win over the home fans, as Barcelona remains the team he has contributed to the most (six combined goals and assists) since joining the Madrid side.
Meanwhile, Barcelona arrives with momentum following the news of Raphinha signing a contract extension until 2030. The Brazilian winger is in the form of his life and is set to lead the league leaders at the Metropolitano.
Despite a recent home defeat to Bayern Munich, Atletico remains optimistic. The squad is aware that a win would see them enter the international break at the very top of the table.
