Former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has apologised for his silence following his January departure, expressing pride in his time at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has publicly addressed his departure from Manchester United for the first time. Following his appointment as the new head coach of AC Milan, the 41-year-old acknowledged that he made mistakes during his 14-month tenure in England.
During his unveiling in Italy, Amorim apologised for not reaching out to the club's supporters after being dismissed in January.

The coach noted that the experience served as a valuable learning curve that will help him at a higher level with the Rossoneri. He explained that he is eager to apply the lessons learned to his new project in Serie A.
Amorim is now tasked with shaping his squad, with the future of Luka Modric being a primary focus. He has held multiple discussions with the 40-year-old midfielder, emphasising that the club is keen to retain the Croatian veteran for his experience and composure in possession.
Interestingly, Amorim's first encounter with his former side will come sooner than expected, as AC Milan is scheduled to face Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in Poland on 15 August.
