Osasuna secured a confident victory over Racing Santander in their La Liga matchday nine encounter at El Sadar. Both teams entered the match level on eight points, but it was the hosts who proved more clinical in front of goal.
The match began with high intensity, and while an early goal from Dubasin was ruled out by VAR for offside, the momentum remained with the hosts. Shortly after, Osasuna took the lead when Ante Budimir successfully converted a penalty.
The second half was marked by a physical contest, with the referee issuing several yellow cards to both sides. Racing Santander attempted to push for an equalizer through substitutions, but failed to apply meaningful pressure. Substitute Asier Osambela ultimately sealed the points for the hosts, scoring in the 88th minute to finalize a 2:0 scoreline.
