Moroccan winger Ez Abde is enjoying a resurgence in form, re-establishing himself as a focal point for Real Betis. After a knee sprain forced him to miss out on the 2026 World Cup, the 24-year-old has navigated a difficult start to the 2026-2027 season to regain the exceptional level he showed previously.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the forward has moved to the top of the club's scoring charts for the current campaign, surpassing teammates like Marc Bartra, Isco, and Cucho Hernandez. His impact has been particularly notable at La Cartuja, where he has netted all four of his goals across La Liga and the Champions League.
Abde's scoring form began with a winner against Getafe in September and continued with goals against Osasuna and Porto. Despite a recent defeat to Barcelona, Abde found the net once more, proving his reliability in front of goal. This purple patch follows a career-best 2025-2026 season where he registered 15 goals and 13 assists.
Under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini, the winger is proving that he has fully recovered from the physical setbacks that sidelined him earlier in his career. His ability to act as a difference-maker remains a vital asset for the Andalusian side as they navigate a demanding schedule.
