Nicolas Raskin happy at Rangers but unsure about January future
Belgian midfielder Nicolas Raskin says he is happy at Rangers but remains uncertain about what the January transfer window might hold.
Nicolas Raskin has spoken openly about his commitment to Rangers, stating he is "really happy" at the club. The 25-year-old Belgian midfielder, who scored his first goal of the season in a 2-2 draw against Dundee last weekend, has become a staple in the starting lineup, featuring in the team's last seven matches.
Despite his recent form, the midfielder remains cautious regarding the upcoming January transfer window. Raskin, who arrived at the club in January 2023, previously faced uncertainty during the summer amidst exit rumors that saw him sidelined from certain fixtures. "The hardest was not being able to play. Watching the boys playing, this is probably the hardest bit I've been through during the window," he admitted.
I've never been pushing for something because I'm really happy here. It's a big club. This club helped me join the Belgian national team, which is a big, big thing. Nicolas Raskin
Raskin stressed that he is currently focused on performing for Rangers and feels supported by the manager. When questioned about the possibility of extending his contract before the end of next season, he noted that the decision lies with the club rather than himself. For now, he remains focused on winning as many games as possible while acknowledging that the future remains unpredictable.
