Nico Schlotterbeck and Ramy Bensebaini return to Borussia Dortmund training

Borussia Dortmund has received positive news following their Champions League victory over Villarreal. Defenders Nico Schlotterbeck and Ramy Bensebaini have returned to team training, according to an official statement from the club.

Nico Schlotterbeck had been sidelined with a serious ankle injury sustained during the World Cup in June. This injury forced the 26-year-old defender to miss the entire pre-season preparation period.

Ramy Bensebaini had been out of action after suffering bruised ribs during the Franz Beckenbauer German Super Cup match against Bayern Munich on August 22. The Algerian defender has missed the team's most recent fixtures due to the injury.

The return of both players provides coach Niko Kovac with increased depth in the defensive line. At this stage, it remains unclear exactly when Schlotterbeck and Bensebaini will be available for selection in competitive matches.
