Nashville SC has etched its name into MLS history by setting a new league record for points in a single regular season. On the final day of the season, the team defeated FC Cincinnati 2-0 to finish with a total of 77 points.

Entering the final round, Nashville was tied at 74 points with the previous record held by Inter Miami, established in 2024 during their first full season with Lionel Messi. Striker Sam Surridge was instrumental in breaking the record, scoring a brace in the second half to bring his season tally to 21 goals.

It’s a huge achievement for the club, for us as players, and yes, it will go down in history — I think that was the main message before the game. It’s hard to keep the momentum going through the whole season when you’ve already won something and then have to go out on the pitch again. But we had the motivation to make history. Sam Surridge

Under head coach BJ Callaghan, the team displayed remarkable consistency, setting six new regular-season records. Beyond the points tally, Nashville finished a record 13 points ahead of their closest challenger, Vancouver Whitecaps, recorded a league-high 23 wins, and suffered only three losses. Their defense was the best in league history, conceding just 25 goals, while their home form saw them secure 15 wins in 17 matches.

Having already secured the Supporters' Shield two weeks ago, Nashville now heads into the playoffs on a 10-match unbeaten streak with home-field advantage throughout the post-season.
