After a challenging debut season hampered by fitness issues and a broken leg, the Swedish international appears to have found his stride, showing a marked improvement in his physical condition and overall impact.
Houghton noted that the difference in Isak’s performance compared to last term is striking. "When you watched him last season, compared to this season, there's chalk and cheese between where he is, he's in a much better place at the moment," Houghton explained. The expert attributed this turnaround to a productive pre-season and extra fitness work, which has restored the confidence that had briefly deserted the striker.
