Le Havre targets Demba Ba as new sporting director
Ligue 1 side Le Havre has identified Demba Ba as their priority to replace Mathieu Bodmer as sporting director.
Ligue 1 club Le Havre has made Dunkerque delegate president Demba Ba their top priority for the sporting director position. The former Chelsea striker is set to replace Mathieu Bodmer, who recently departed the club.
Negotiations between the two parties are at an advanced stage, although no formal agreement has been reached yet. During discussions, both the club and the executive have explored the possibility of bringing in Romain Decool, the current recruitment director at USLD, as part of the transition.
For Le Havre, appointing Ba is seen as a strategic move. During his time at Dunkerque, he has been credited with developing the squad, securing valuable player transfers, and advancing the club's infrastructure and performance standards.
