Julián Quiñones awarded as Saudi Pro League's top scorer
The Mexican forward was honored in front of his home crowd for his outstanding goal-scoring performance last season.

Before the start of the second-round match in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Ittihad, forward Julián Quiñones was officially honored as the league's top scorer from the previous season. Known as 'La Pantera', the Mexican striker received his Golden Boot award at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium, following a stellar campaign where he netted 33 goals, finishing ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the individual charts.
The award serves as a testament to the player's consistency, validating his move to Saudi football despite earlier criticism. Since his arrival, Quiñones has proven his quality, consistently performing at a high level and cementing his status as a marquee player in the division.
However, the celebration was followed by a frustrating match against Al-Ittihad. Despite finding the back of the net three times throughout the game—in the 24th, 49th, and 86th minutes—all of Quiñones' goals were disallowed following VAR reviews. The team, managed by Brendan Rodgers, struggled to find their rhythm, ending in a disappointing result for the forward.
