Injury crisis at Al-Ittihad: Three more players sidelined in Spain
Following Hamed Al-Ghamdi's ACL injury, Al-Ittihad faces further setbacks as three additional players are ruled out during their Marbella training camp.

Al-Ittihad's pre-season training camp in Marbella has been marred by a series of physical setbacks. The club is already dealing with the long-term absence of midfielder Hamed Al-Ghamdi, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a recent friendly match against Orlando Pirates.
The situation worsened on Saturday as the club confirmed that three additional players have been sidelined, ruling them out of the friendly encounter with Las Palmas. Nigerian striker George Ilenikhena is currently out with acute tonsillitis and a high fever, with medical staff monitoring his progress before a return to training.
Meanwhile, right-back Muhannad Al-Shanqiti is undergoing treatment for right knee pain sustained during a morning session, and midfielder Mohammed Fallatah is working through an individual rehabilitation program for abdominal discomfort.
These absences disrupt the team's final preparations as they look ahead to the new season. Al-Ittihad is scheduled to conclude their Marbella camp with a final friendly against Real Mallorca on July 30 before returning to Jeddah to focus on their upcoming competitive challenges.
