Gerry Cardinale promises AC Milan will be aggressive in January transfer window
AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has confirmed plans for a busy January, targeting defensive reinforcements and a high-profile attacking signing.
AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has confirmed that the club intends to be aggressive during the January transfer window. Speaking about the club's strategy, Cardinale admitted that they were unable to complete all their objectives during the summer and that building a balanced squad capable of handling injuries remains the top priority.
"We need to keep improving the squad," Cardinale stated. "It will probably take another couple of transfer windows to complete everything. We are only a quarter of the way there." He emphasized that while he will not waste money, he is committed to doing whatever it takes to secure key targets when he decides to pursue them.
Defensive reinforcements are at the top of the agenda for January, with the club eyeing one or two new additions. Sporting Lisbon's Inacio and Bayern Munich's Kim are among the names being tracked. Looking further ahead, the club is monitoring developments with Manchester United's Yoro and Borussia Dortmund's Reggiani. At right-back, Palmeiras' Agustin Giay is also under consideration.
In midfield, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg remains a realistic option for the club. Meanwhile, the plan for the attack is to secure a major signing, with Cardinale having set his sights on Real Madrid's Endrick.
