Genoa have officially unveiled their home kit for the 2026-27 season, taking inspiration from one of the most iconic nights in the club's history. Created in partnership with Kappa, the new strip serves as a direct tribute to their breakthrough victory on English soil against Liverpool in 1992.
On March 18, 1992, Genoa became the first Italian side to win at Anfield in a European competition, securing a 2-1 result to knock the Reds out of the UEFA Cup quarter-finals. The new 2026-27 kit revives the classic 1990s aesthetic, featuring the traditional red and blue halves alongside a vintage-style collar that mirrors the original 1992 jersey.
While the design is deeply rooted in nostalgia, the performance technology is modern. The shirt is crafted from recycled KOMBAT™ Pro fabric, designed for breathability and mobility to meet the demands of today's professional game.
The launch campaign, titled "You'll Never Run Alone," reunites five members of that legendary squad: Bortolazzi, Ruotolo, Skuhravý, Torrente, and Ferroni. The club also dedicated the tribute to their late captain, Gianluca Signorini, ensuring his legacy as the leader of that historic Anfield side remains central to the Rossoblu identity.
