Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola has praised head coach Andoni Iraola for implementing a tactical style that plays to his natural strengths. The former PSG forward has settled quickly into the Basque manager's high-intensity attacking setup at Anfield.
Iraola's philosophy emphasizes rapid transitions, high-speed wide play, and disciplined off-the-ball pressing. Barcola revealed that these specific tactical demands were the primary reason he believed Liverpool was the right destination for his development.
Addressing the specific responsibilities assigned to him, Barcola explained the balance required in Iraola's system. He noted that the manager values his attacking pace just as much as his defensive work rate.
When I spoke to him before coming, it was about playing on the wings and doing what I know how to do, playing with a lot of speed. He knows I attack a lot, but that I also defend a lot. He told me that’s what he needed from me when I came, so things are going very well with him. Bradley Barcola
The 24-year-old remains fully committed to the tactical framework, pledging to repay the manager's faith with consistent contributions. Barcola noted that he prefers the direct style of play favoured by Iraola, and he is now focused on making the difference on the pitch as the club continues its pursuit of silverware.
