Scottish League Two side Elgin City have officially dismissed manager Allan Hale with immediate effect. The club confirmed the decision following the conclusion of an internal investigation conducted in accordance with their internal policies and procedures, citing a finding of gross misconduct.
Hale had been suspended by the club on 7 May. Four days later, on 11 May, the club promoted assistant Stefan Laird to the role of acting manager. The 38-year-old had been in charge since December 2023, leading the team to a sixth-place finish in Scotland's fourth tier during the most recent campaign.
