Eddie Howe, currently considered a leading candidate for the Manchester United managerial role, has already identified his primary transfer targets should he take charge. Reports indicate that the coach is planning a significant squad overhaul, focusing on four specific areas needing immediate reinforcement.
Howe is reportedly looking for a ball-playing central defender to anchor the defense and initiate attacks. Additionally, his plan includes reinforcing the left-back position, signing a pacey left winger, and bringing in a physically imposing central striker.
These proposed changes could leave little room for Marcus Rashford. The forward has yet to record a goal or an assist this season, and sources suggest that Everton is already exploring a move for the winger in January, either on loan or via a permanent transfer.
The situation at Manchester United is critical, with the team losing three of their last four matches across all competitions, currently sitting 16th in the Premier League. Michael Carrick faces job uncertainty, and reports suggest Howe could potentially be appointed before the upcoming fixture against Chelsea this weekend.
