Diogo Costa linked with PSG move after 2026 World Cup
PSG are exploring a transfer for Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, whose contract runs until 2030.
French champions PSG have begun work on a potential transfer for Porto and Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa. According to reports from Record, the Parisian club has taken initial steps to secure the 26-year-old.
The situation is significant because the Portuguese side holds a strong negotiating position, with Costa’s contract running until 2030. Porto has no intention of lowering their demands and is only prepared to let their player leave for his 60-million-euro release clause.
A move for Costa could reshape the goalkeeping pecking order at PSG. The current starter is Matvey Safonov, who displaced Lucas Chevalier during the season. Adding a goalkeeper with 42 international caps would mark another major investment as the club builds on their recent back-to-back Champions League victories.
Negotiations are expected to intensify following the 2026 World Cup, for which Costa has been named in the national squad.
