Manchester City defender Marc Guehi has offered a blunt assessment of his side's 4-2 defeat to PSG in the Champions League. The defender admitted that a sluggish start proved costly as the French giants took control early on.
Guehi highlighted a clear discrepancy in intensity between the two sides during the first 45 minutes. "I think they were a bit more aggressive and won a lot of one on one duels in the first-half which allowed them the platform to score those goals," he explained in an interview with the club.

The second half saw a significant shift in mentality, with City dominating possession and creating 21 chances, though they were unable to bridge the gap. Guehi remains focused on the positives, emphasizing that the squad's response shows the character of the club as they look toward upcoming domestic and European challenges.
The defeat ended an eight-match unbeaten run for City, leaving them in 17th place in the 36-team Champions League table. The team will look to bounce back immediately with a home game against Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend, followed by a European fixture against AEK on Tuesday.
