Corinthians terminates contract with youth product who had a €1 billion clause
21-year-old forward Leo Agostinho leaves the Brazilian club following an early contract termination.

Corinthians has officially confirmed the early termination of the contract with 21-year-old forward Leo Agostinho. The departure was processed via the Brazilian Football Confederation's official registry.
In 2023, the player signed an extension that included a release clause of 200 million euros, equivalent to approximately 1.076 billion BRL. Despite this massive valuation, Agostinho struggled to break into the senior squad, making only two appearances in 2026, both within the Copinha youth tournament.
The forward was once regarded as a promising academy talent and even earned praise from former manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo for his tactical versatility. Throughout his time in the club's system, he played as a right-back, midfielder, and winger. However, having exceeded the age limit for youth categories and failing to secure a place in the first team, both parties agreed that separation was the best solution.
Agostinho made 133 appearances across all youth levels for the club, scoring 13 goals. He was also a member of the squad that won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2024.
