Como make history in Champions League with record-breaking win
Following a historic 9-1 victory over Lens, Como now sits fourth in the Champions League standings, aiming for a deep playoff run.
The 9-1 victory in France against Lens has officially entered the annals of Italian football as the largest margin of victory ever recorded by an Italian club in the Champions League. This monumental performance has propelled Como into the upper echelons of the competition's table.
Currently sitting in fourth place, the team finds itself trailing only European powerhouses PSG, Real Madrid, and Arsenal. This positioning puts them in a strong stance to dream beyond the initial playoff qualifying spots.
The club's focus now shifts to their next two challenges: a home match against AEK Athens and a difficult away trip to face Real Betis.
