Scotland Under-21 head coach Tony Docherty has praised the attitude of the three players who have joined his squad after previously being involved with the senior team. Celtic defender Colby Donovan, Udinese midfielder Lennon Miller, and Heart of Midlothian striker James Wilson are all part of the new-look squad for upcoming friendlies against Ukraine and the United States in Spain.

Docherty believes these players are instrumental in setting the standard for the younger group. He emphasized that those with international experience act as a leadership group, helping to establish the team's identity and mentality.

I'm really, really delighted with the introduction of the ones that have had that A squad experience and they're really the drivers. They become your leadership group that drives standards, create that mentality, get that identity. Tony Docherty

The coach confirmed that he has maintained open communication with the players regarding their development pathways. He noted that if they are not getting minutes with the senior side, participating in the U21 camp provides them with a structured environment to gain vital game time.

Alongside the trio, St Mirren striker Eseosa Sule has been called up as the squad prepares for a new European qualifying campaign. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Rangers forward Kyle Glasgow has been moved to the Under-19 squad for their own European qualifying fixtures.
