Chivas thrash Atlas in women's Clasico Tapatio

Chivas Femenil delivered a commanding 4-0 victory against Atlas in the Clasico Tapatio, held at the Estadio Jalisco during the sixth round of the Apertura 2026 Liga MX Femenil season.

The scoring began in the 11th minute when Jasmine Casarez found the net following a precise pass from Nati Mauleón. Chivas maintained their momentum, and Denise Castro extended the lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by the hosts.

In the second half, Chivas controlled the pace of the game. Alicia Cervantes, one of the team's key figures, converted a penalty in the 73rd minute to make it 3-0. Just four minutes later, she added her second goal of the match to seal the 4-0 final score.

With this result, Chivas Femenil reached 12 points in the Apertura 2026, moving temporarily into second place in Group B, trailing only America.
