Brazil vs Haiti match brings record-breaking TV ratings for SBT
The Brazilian national team's 3-0 World Cup victory over Haiti has helped SBT reach its highest audience ratings since 2024.

The broadcast of the second round World Cup group stage match between Brazil and Haiti has proven to be a major success for SBT. Driven by a decisive 3-0 victory for the Seleção, the network achieved its highest audience ratings since October 31, 2024.
During the match in Philadelphia, the average viewership in Greater São Paulo reached 11.66 points, with peaks hitting 13 points. This performance marked a 235% increase in audience compared to the previous four Fridays for the network.
The impact of the broadcast, led by Galvão Bueno, was also felt across the national television panel, which accounts for the country's 15 largest metropolitan areas. With an average of 9.61 points, the broadcast outperformed the national team's tournament opener against Morocco by 6%.
On the pitch, Carlo Ancelotti's side secured the win with a brace from Matheus Cunha and a goal from Vini Jr. While the first half was clinical, the second half proved more difficult as Haiti tightened their defensive structure. Despite substitutions including Endrick, Brazil struggled to add to their tally, leaving Alisson to ensure a clean sheet to end a six-game streak of conceding goals.
