Botafogo officially extends contract with Alex Telles until 2028
Botafogo captain Alex Telles has signed a new contract with the club, running through the end of 2028.

Botafogo has officially announced the contract renewal of left-back Alex Telles. The club captain has signed a new deal that keeps him at the organization through the end of 2028.
Telles, who arrived at the club in the second half of 2024 from Saudi side Al-Nassr, has quickly become a fan favorite and a pillar of the team. He has played 100 matches and scored 13 goals for the club, playing a decisive role in the team's Brazilian league and Copa Libertadores titles, including a goal in the continental final against Atlético-MG.
The player's previous contract was set to expire at the end of 2026, which would have allowed him to sign a pre-contract with other teams. Despite months of stalled negotiations and interest from other clubs, the number 13 made his intention to remain with the club clear.
