Roy Keane shuts down Anthony Gordon's claim England are on Spain's level
Roy Keane has rejected Anthony Gordon's assertion that England are equal to Spain following the Three Lions' 3-2 Nations League defeat.

Following a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Spain at Wembley, England winger Anthony Gordon insisted that the Three Lions operate on the same tactical and technical plane as the reigning world and European champions. Despite the loss, Gordon claimed there is no significant gulf in class, suggesting that a missed penalty by Harry Kane was the turning point that prevented an England victory.
However, Roy Keane, serving as a pundit for ITV Sport, was far from convinced by Gordon's assessment. The former Manchester United captain pointed to Spain's recent trophy haul as the ultimate proof of the disparity between the two nations, arguing that confidence should not be mistaken for equality.

Gordon remained defiant, acknowledging Spain's incredible control while defending England's direct style of play. He maintained that the team is at a high level, noting that while they might not be as good as Spain at controlling possession, they possess other qualities that make them a top-tier side.
