Barcelona and Atletico Madrid interested in Alejandro Grimaldo

Bayer Leverkusen defender Alejandro Grimaldo could make a return to the Spanish La Liga this summer. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are showing interest in the 30-year-old player.

The player has not hidden his desire to play in his home country again. The German club is reportedly prepared to consider selling the defender, with a potential transfer fee estimated at around 10 million euros.

At this stage, no formal negotiations have taken place between the parties involved.

Grimaldo previously developed within the Barcelona system, having played over 90 matches for the club's reserve team early in his career.
