Barcelona and Arsenal scouted Joao Pedro as Alvarez alternative
Both European giants were interested in the Chelsea forward, but the player opted to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal and Barcelona considered Chelsea forward Joao Pedro as an alternative to Julian Alvarez, after Atletico Madrid refused to part ways with the Argentine. According to reports, both clubs were actively monitoring the 24-year-old Brazilian international.
However, the forward decided to remain with the Blues and committed to a long-term contract extension. His current deal runs until June 2034, with his market value estimated at 80 million euros.
Joao Pedro has started the current Premier League season in excellent form, contributing three goals and three assists in just four appearances.
