Aston Villa opens negotiations for Nicolas Jackson

Aston Villa has initiated discussions with Chelsea regarding a potential transfer for forward Nicolas Jackson, according to insider Nicolo Schira.
Manager Unai Emery is well-acquainted with the 25-year-old Senegalese international's capabilities from their time together at Villarreal and is keen to bring him to the club. However, the potential deal faces significant hurdles, as the player's salary demands and Chelsea's initial financial requirements are currently considered too high for the Birmingham side.
Jackson has been with Chelsea since the summer of 2023. During his time in London, he has made 81 appearances across all competitions, contributing 30 goals and 12 assists. His current contract runs until the summer of 2033, with a market value estimated at 40 million euros.
