Chelsea charged by FA over discriminatory chanting
The FA has charged Chelsea following allegations of discriminatory behaviour by fans during their Premier League win against Fulham.

The Football Association has charged Chelsea following allegations of discriminatory behaviour by fans during their Premier League fixture against Fulham on 24 August.
According to the FA, Chelsea is alleged to have breached Rule E21 during the ninth minute of the 3-2 victory at Craven Cottage. The governing body stated that the club failed to ensure its supporters did not behave in an improper or offensive manner, specifically noting that the behaviour was discriminatory through references to religion or belief.
Following the match, Chelsea wrote to supporters after receiving reports of sectarian chanting from a small portion of the crowd. The club stated that they do not condone such actions and warned that anyone found guilty would face the strongest possible disciplinary measures.
The club has taken a firm stance on such issues previously. In 2021, Chelsea publicly condemned the actions of a fan who targeted Aston Villa player John McGinn with sectarian abuse on social media.
