Football club América celebrated its 110th anniversary with a special tribute held during the halftime break of their Liga MX match against Monterrey. The event served as a recognition of the individuals who have shaped the club's history over the past century.
The tribute involved 32 people, including legendary former players, club staff, and loyal season ticket holders. The crowd gave thunderous ovations to icons such as Miguel Zelada, Arlindo Dos Santos, Adrián Chávez, and Eduardo Bacas. Special recognition was reserved for Zelada, the historic goalkeeper of the 1980s, and Dos Santos, who scored the first goal in the history of the Estadio Azteca.

Groundskeepers, chefs, and other essential staff members were recognized for their contributions to the team's daily operations, highlighting the collective effort required to maintain the club's success.
The celebration concluded with a light and fireworks show as the song "Mi Mayor Anhelo" by Banda MS played, a track synonymous with the club's fanbase. It was a night where the past and present of the organization united in front of their supporters.
