Santiago Bueno arrives in Mexico City to sign with América

Uruguayan defender Santiago Bueno has landed in Mexico City to complete his move to América. The defender, arriving from English club Wolverhampton, endured a challenging journey that included an emergency diversion to Cancun due to a storm, extending his travel time to roughly 15 hours.

Despite the long trip, Bueno arrived in high spirits. He was quickly pictured in his new team gear, sporting the number 14 jersey. He revealed that conversations with compatriots Brian Rodríguez and Raúl Jiménez played a key role in his decision to join the Mexican giants.

Bueno emphasized the prestige of his new destination, noting that an opportunity to play for a club as large as América is rare. Following his arrival, the defender is scheduled to undergo his medical examinations this Saturday before finalizing his one-year loan contract.
