A Van Journey to Serie D: Milo Beimers' Unique Path to a New Club

18-year-old goalkeeper Milo Beimers has taken an unconventional route to secure his footballing future. Alongside his father, he embarked on a 30-day journey across Europe in a converted transit van, traveling from Belfast to Spain and eventually reaching Italy in search of a new club.

After trials across the continent, the former Glentoran goalkeeper successfully signed with Viterbese, a club currently competing in Serie D, the fourth tier of Italian football. Beimers made an immediate impression, keeping a clean sheet on his debut during a 4-0 victory over Anagni.

The move represents a significant step for the young Canadian youth international. Beyond the footballing challenge, Beimers is adapting to a new culture, with learning Italian now at the top of his agenda. He noted that the Italian style of play, including specific goalkeeping techniques, offers a fresh learning curve that he is eager to master.
