Cristian Tello announces retirement from professional football
Former Barcelona and Spain forward Cristian Tello has decided to hang up his boots at the age of 35.

Spanish forward Cristian Tello has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35. Once regarded as one of the brightest prospects from the Barcelona academy, Tello enjoyed a diverse career that saw him play in various leagues across the world.
Throughout his playing days, Tello represented several notable clubs including Porto, Fiorentina, Real Betis, and Los Angeles FC. His journey also took him to Saudi Arabian sides Al-Fateh and Al-Orobah, as well as Emirati club Palm City. While he may not have fully reached the heights expected during his early years at Barcelona, he accumulated a respectable collection of silverware.
His trophy cabinet includes La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona. He also won the Copa del Rey with Real Betis, the MLS Cup with Los Angeles, and the UEFA European U-21 Championship with Spain. At the senior international level, Tello earned three caps for the Spanish national team.
