Shakhtar's Champions League opponent signs two new strikers

PSV Eindhoven has announced the addition of two new forwards to their squad: Sam Lammers and Mikkel Bro Hansen.

29-year-old Dutch forward Sam Lammers, an academy graduate who played for the club between 2016 and 2020, arrives from Twente on a contract running until the summer of 2028. Last season, Lammers recorded seven goals and eight assists in 29 appearances. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Danish talent Mikkel Bro Hansen has joined from Bodo/Glimt on a deal valid until the summer of 2029.

PSV currently sits second in the Eredivisie with 10 points from four matches and is set to face Ajax on September 5.

This transfer activity is particularly notable for Shakhtar Donetsk, as PSV is scheduled to be the Ukrainian side's first opponent in the Champions League league phase on September 10.
