Bahia midfielder Rodrigo Nestor has addressed the verbal and physical altercation with Santos forward Neymar that took place during their recent Brazilian league match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

According to Nestor, the incident began when he approached Neymar to shake hands. Instead of a professional greeting, the forward threw the ball at him and proceeded to insult him while covering his mouth. The referee reviewed the incident via VAR and subsequently sent the Santos striker off for unsportsmanlike conduct.
